Operations Achilles, Hippocamp and Overdue

Graham Carter made this Official Information request to Crown Law Office

The request was successful.

From: Graham Carter

Dear Crown Law Office,

Did the Crown Solicitors Office recommend that the six trawlers caught on the Trident Camera system out from Timaru as part of the Operations Achilles, Hippocamp and Overdue be prosecuted for discarding finfish?

Who or which person or persons did the Crown Law office report the recommendation to?

Yours faithfully,

Graham Carter

Dear Official Information Act,

FAILURE TO RESPOND IN EXTENDED TIMEFRAME

We have requested an Official Info Request from your department.

We would like to point out that by law you were required to have responded promptly to our request for information, which you have failed to do.

It would appear that your department is deliberately postposing this request and not responding with the required information, and we believe that certain parts of the information will be particularly embarrassing and are likely to reveal the high levels of corruption and collusion with regards the business sector of the community.

Our information request has been dragged out for well over 40 days, which is an extraordinary long time given the relevant simple nature of the questions we have asked.

Choosing to ignore this request does not mean that it will go away
.
Your prompt attention to this matter would be appreciated.

Yours sincerely,

Graham Carter
