Importing cannabidiol e-cigarettes for personal use

William Rea made this Official Information request to Ministry of Health

The request is waiting for clarification. If you are William Rea, please sign in to send a follow up message.

From: William Rea

Dear Ministry of Health,

Under The Medicines Act and the SFEA, people can import nicotine-containing e-cigarette products for their own use only (up to a 3 months' supply).

Both Nicotine and Cannabidiol are "Schedule 1 Prescription, restricted, and pharmacy-only medicines" does this mean that one can also import cannabidiol-containing e-cigarette products for personal use? If not, why not? and how is the legislation different for the two products?

Yours faithfully,

William Rea
