Proof confiscated items are in Spring Hill Corrections Facilities system

Tim Malloy made this Official Information request to Department of Corrections

The request was successful.

From: Tim Malloy

Dear Department of Corrections,
At about 10 am on December 27th 2015. I had confiscated from me one pocket knife 85 mm in length by a staff member identifying himself as 360.
This took place outside the visitors centre at Spring Hill Corrections Facility Hampton Downs.
Due to the manner in which this took place I am suspicious of that persons intent, namely to pocket the knife and not submit the paper work.
I have directed a letter to the Manager of Spring Hill on January 5th asking for proof that the knife had indeed been submitted with the paper work. To date a reply has not been forth coming.
I have spoken with my local police duty sergeant who advised me to contact the manager a second time. I believe this to be a waste of time. Thus I am requesting by this means information that will clarify whether a dishonesty has taken place here.
I did not described the knife, and since no reply in asking photographic evidence of it being in the system has been received, I am more convinced a dishonesty has taken place.

Yours faithfully,
Tim Malloy
