Under the Official Information Act 1982, I request:
1. All Cabinet papers, minutes, and committee papers relating
to the India-New Zealand FTA that reference UNDRIP, the
United Nations Declaration on the Rights of Indigenous
Peoples, Article 13.2, or Chapter 13.
2. The Cabinet paper(s) seeking authority to sign and/or ratify
the India FTA, including whether UNDRIP's inclusion was
disclosed to Cabinet.
3. All records of the Cabinet direction to halt UNDRIP
implementation, including the date, the minute reference,
and the specific terms of the direction.
4. Any assessment of whether MFAT's inclusion of a UNDRIP
affirmation in the India FTA was consistent with the
Cabinet direction to halt implementation.
