From: Andrew Ecclestone
Dear Privacy Commissioner,
This is an Official Information Act request.
Please provide information on the three most recently completed formal investigations, reviews, audits, supervisory actions, enforcement actions or compliance proceedings involving the social media platforms Facebook, Instagram, WhatsApp, YouTube, TikTok, WeChat, and/or Telegram which your Office undertook and for which records are available. I am looking for final reports, enforcement notices, decisions or recommendations on these matters, if available, or other significant documents relating to the investigations, excluding routine administrative communications such as internal emails or scheduling correspondence.
Under section 16(2) of the OIA my preferences are (a) to receive a copy of the whole document (b) that the information is disclosed in a text searchable format, either Word or PDF, and (c) that it is sent to the email address from which the Office of the Privacy Commissioner received this request.
If the Office of the Privacy Commissioner decides that there is 'good reason' under the OIA to withhold any of the information I am requesting, then under section 19(a)(ii) of the OIA, I further request that it provide me with the grounds in support of each instance of a withholding reason cited for refusal. Guidance for agencies on how to meet their section 19(a)(ii) obligations is available from the Ombudsman at this location:

Yours faithfully,
Andrew Ecclestone
