Hi John

In response to your Local Government Official Information and Meetings Act
request below, our Grants Officer has advised that the Council advertised
in all the local newspapers in the district and its social media pages for
three weeks. The deadline was extended by a further week but there were no
applications received.  With the approval of the Chairperson, the officer
approached the Cheviot Craft Group who have nominated a person to fill the
vacancy.  This was done to encourage representation from the Cheviot area,
which the panel has not had for some years. The role is voluntary and the
information copied below in your email is what the Council used for the
advertisement. There is no appointment letter and there were two vacancies
– with only one having been filled at this stage.

Ngâ mihi

Graham
