We  refer  to  your  email  dated  14  October  2015  and  received  yesterday  requesting  the  following 
information under the Official Information Act (1982). 
 
  In response to the information released by the Ministry of Health detailing that SRS provider 
selection will be determined by District Health Boards and their specialists (see the releases for 
https://fyi.org.nz/request/3088-sexual-reassignment-surgery-funding;  and 
https://fyi.org.nz/request/3168-overseas-grs-providers), I request any information held by this 
DHB on prospective Male-to-Female sexual reassignment surgery providers. 
 
My request is for information including but not limited to correspondence with prospective 
providers, assessments of providers or correspondence with other DHBs or specialists. 
 
As  required  under  the  Official  Information  Act  (1982),  the  Canterbury  District  Health  Board  will 
respond  to  your  request  within  20  working  days.  Taking  Labour  Day  into  account  you  should 
therefore receive a response on or before 13 November 2015. 
 
If a large amount of information has been requested or if the Canterbury District Health Board needs 
to  consult  in  order  to  make  a  decision,  we  may  need  to  extend  this  date  (this  is  provided  for  in 
section 15A of the Act).  We will advise you if such an extension is necessary.
