Dear Sarah and Cameron

Thank you for the reply. If the social media accounts are as Leader of the National Party, then why do they not say so? A quick check on X and Instagram clearly states Prime Minister of New Zealand, not Leader of the National Party. Would this not mean Christopher Luxon is using this in his role as Prime Minister?

A quick look at the equivalent accounts for David Seymour make it clear they are as Leader of the ACT Party, and do not mention his role as Deputy Prime Minister.

Although not subject to the OIA, it is also worth noting that Chris Hipkins also says Leader of the Labour Party, and not Leader of the Opposition.

Without a thorough explanation I may have to contact the Ombudsman, as it appears these accounts are the responsibility of being Prime Minister.

Yours sincerely,

Gus M
