Minimum GPA for physiotherapy

Nokia made this Official Information request to University of Otago

This request has an unknown status. We're waiting for Nokia to read a recent response and update the status.

From: Nokia

Dear University of Otago,

I would like to enquire the minimum and average GPA requirement for entraince into physiotherapy by Two or More Years of University Study category. I would like to enquire: the amount of applicants to this category; amount of applicants accepted from this category; and the minimum GPA that was accepted into physiotherapy, all from 2022-2025. I would also like clarification of the calculation of GPA. The website states:

"The Admissions Committees will score the best 240 points according to the following rules:

i. Best 3 × 200-level papers scored,
ii. Balance of the 240 points from the best scoring remaining papers (scoring a maximum 120 points at 200-level),
iii. With 100-level papers weighted × 0.5, and all other papers weighted at × 1.5"

I would like to verify if only three 200 level papers are counted towards this GPA calculation or 120 points worth of 200-level papers are counted towards the GPA calculation. Will disabilities (such as epilepsy) increase the applicant's chance of entrance?

Yours faithfully,

Nokia
