Reason for low number of general category BDS 2025 admissions

Jon made this Official Information request to University of Otago

This request has an unknown status. We're waiting for Jon to read a recent response and update the status.

From: Jon

Dear University of Otago,

I understand that less than 20 offers were made in 2025 to the general category students via HSFY pathway to the BDS programme. I also understand that this number was much higher in previous years. Could you explain why is this the case and what changed in 2025?

Yours faithfully,

Jon
