Pulse Survey Results 2024

    Dear New Zealand Defence Force,
The annual Pulse Survey was carried out in 2024. As of today, few have seen the results which usually contain all the data aggregated into combined results for the organization and broken down by service. I am requesting that NZDF release those combined results formatted in a similar manner to previous years, and also provide the following data:
1) Pulse results for the PTE(E)-CPL(E) rank bracket,
2) Pulse results for the SGT(E)-WO2(E) rank bracket,
3) Pulse results for the OCDT(E)-CAPT(E) rank bracket,
4) Pulse results for the MAJ(E) and above rank bracket, and
3) Pulse results for the CIVILIAN workforce.
The results must remain comprehensive with discrete detail maintained (strongly disagree and strongly agree included as options).
Since the 2024 results haven't been released as they normally would for reasons unknown. In the interests of transparency from a government organization can you also share all emails or any other documents / correspondence related to the reasons which would limit the distribution of the Pulse survey results. If no documents exist, I request that the final decision-maker make a statement providing the reasons why they made the decision to to suppress the results. I am especially interested in anything where the reasons stated are because HQNZDF was concerned at the results being too negative by outlining high scores for "strongly disagree".
Yours faithfully,
Paul

Good morning Paul,

It is unclear what “release” of the 2024 Pulse Survey results you are
referring to below.  Could you please provide more context for this part
 of your request?

With respect to the other part of your request, please confirm that you
are seeking a breakdown of the 2024 Pulse Survey results by the ranks
listed below, and separately the results for civilian staff.

Regards

    Dear Ministerial Services,
I will clarify what “release” of the 2024 Pulse Survey results. This means that I am requesting that NZDF provides me with full unadulterated pdf/Word document copies of the results of the Pulse Satisfaction Survey for 2024. This would mean that in response to this request there is a copy of the results of the latest Pulse satisfaction survey (2024), which covers the full NZ Defence Force, A copy of the results broken down by the three services (Navy, Army Air), and a breakdown of the 2024 Pulse Survey results by the ranks
listed, and separately the results for civilian staff.
All other parts of the original request for information remain i.e. any communications that indicate a need to suppress the results.
Yours sincerely,
Paul
