Dear University of Otago,
Under the Official Information Act, I request the following information relating to admission into your professional programmes (MB ChB and BDS):
1. Admission Numbers by Category and Entry Pathway:
Please provide the minimum academic score to receive a first round offer, and the minimum academic score to receive admission into both the MB ChB and BDS programmes, broken down by the following categories:
- General
- Māori
- Indigenous Pacific
- Socioeconomic
- International
- Refugee
- Rural
Further, please clearly differentiate between students entering via the First Year Health Sciences (FYHS) pathway and those entering via graduate pathways. I request this data for each of the past five years.
2. Admission Numbers by Residential College for FYHS Students:
Additionally, please provide the number of FYHS students admitted into both the MB ChB and BDS programmes, categorised by the same groups listed above, and separated by residential college (including students who did not reside in any college/hall). Please provide this information for each of the past five years.
Thank you very much for your assistance in compiling this data.
Yours faithfully,
John
