Your direction of 10 March 2015 to the Registrar to issue NZ units.

Simon Johnson made this Official Information request to Minister for Climate Change Issues

The request was partially successful.

From: Simon Johnson

Dear Minister for Climate Change Issues,

I am very interested in how the NZETS functions and I would appreciate it very much if you can help with a request for some information about what policy matters are considered when new emssion units are issued.

On 10 March 2015 you decided to give a direction to the Registrar to issue NZ units.

This direction is a two page document headed "Appendix Two Ministerial Direction" and with a second page headed "Appendix Three..." is available to the public at this address on the EPA's website.

http://www.epa.govt.nz/Publications/Mini...

The available document has the page numbers 9 to 10.

I request a copy of pages 1 to 8 of this document. I assume that these pages are advice from your Ministry about the policy issues. If there is some other report or document that you also considered on 10 March 2015 in making your decision, then may I please have a copy of that too.

Will you please provide these documents via the FYI.org.nz website.

Thank you very much.

Yours faithfully,

Simon Johnson

Dear Bibiana Marsh,
I hope you don't mind but I am contacting you to ask if my request for official information is going to be granted. Has there been some particular hold-up?
My understanding is that Official Information Act requests are to be replied to 'promptly' and if not promptly, within 20 working days. As it's now 31 July 2015, the 20 working days has just ticked by.
Thanking you in advance.

Yours sincerely,

Simon Johnson
