We acknowledge receipt of your Official Information Act (OIA) request
dated 23 October 2024, concerning a social media post published on the
Adams House Boarding School page.

 

In response to your request, we can confirm that the post in question was
made by an employee of Christchurch Boys' High School. We were satisfied
no grounds existed to take disciplinary steps in relation to staff or
students and therefore none was taken. 

 

Regarding the other details you requested:

 

o We are withholding information related to the employee’s job
description and all matters related their employment and any
information relation to our students, who are minors, under section
9(2)(a) of the OIA, which allows for withholding information to
protect the privacy of natural persons. There are no countervailing
public interest considerations which would override this.

 

If you are not satisfied with this response, you have the right to seek a
review of our decision by the Ombudsman. The Ombudsman’s office can be
