I am writing to request statistical data on student performance in a number of University of Auckland papers.
Can you please provide the final grade distribution (broken down by grade, e.g., A+, A, etc.), the mean and median numerical marks, and the number of students who completed the following papers:

    Dear requester,
 
I refer to your request of 25 August 2024 for marks and grade
 distributions for specified courses. The University’s response follows.
 
The information requested is attached, subject to the following:
 
•                     The University does not hold final mark statistics.
 Grades, not marks, are the University's final measure of academic
 assessment. Marks are used for initial calculation of grades (see
 [1]https://cdn.auckland.ac.nz/assets/auckla...)
 but grades may be subsequently changed for various reasons, such as
 aegrotat/compassionate consideration or academic misconduct. 
•                     LAWGENRL 459 did not run in 2021 or 2022 Summer
 School.
This constitutes a partial refusal of your request under section 18(g) of
 the OIA. You have the right to make a complaint to an Ombudsman if you are
 dissatisfied with this response.
