Please provide a fully un-redacted copy of the contract signed with Pfizer
for supply of the Covid-19 vaccines. As a New Zealand citizen, I request
full
transparency over the details of what was signed on behalf of all New
Zealanders
with this foreign corporate entity.

Your request asks for information which is more closely aligned with the
functions of Ministry of Health.  For this reason, Health New Zealand has
decided to transfer your request in full to Ministry of Health under
section 14(b)(ii) of the Act.  You can expect a response from Ministry of
Health in due course.

sections of the Act:

o Section 9(2)(b)(ii), where its release would likely unreasonably
prejudice the commercial position of the person who supplied the
information;
o Section 9(2)(ba)(ii), to protect information that is subject to an
obligation of confidence and making it available would likely damage
the public interest; and
o Section 9(2)(c), to avoid prejudice to measures to protect the health
or safety of the public.

I have considered the countervailing public interest in release in making
this decision and consider that it does not outweigh the need to withhold
at this time.
