Dear John,

On behalf of Hon Michael Woodhouse, Minister of Immigration, thank you for your four Official Information Act requests received on 10 May 2015 and 11 May 2015 regarding:

1. Are there performance targets, for entry refusals into New Zealand to be met, by Immigration New Zealand staff at Auckland International Airport.
2. As per the Auditor Generals report dated 2008/2009, have all Immigration New Zealand staff at Auckland International Airport signed their code of conduct and been trained in its use thereof.
3. When did it become policy for Immigration New Zealand to criminalize family members coming from overseas to stay with family, legitimately, that when asked during their interview if they would at anytime look after the young child in the family home at all, it is deemed work and therefore grounds for refusal of entry.
4. Have all the recommendations in the Auditor Generals Report of 2009 been adopted by Immigration New Zealand. If not, which ones have not, and why not

This letter is to notify you that the Minister of Immigration is transferring your requests to Immigration New Zealand, Ministry of Business, Innovation and Employment. This transfer is occurring because the information you requested is believed by the Minister of Immigration to be held by the Ministry.

Further correspondence on these requests will therefore come to you from the Ministry.

Yours sincerely,

Office of Hon Michael Woodhouse │ Minister of Immigration
Parliament Buildings │ Wellington
