Kia ora Erika.
Stats NZ does not collect or publish age standardized mortality data. This
does however look to be data that the Ministry of Health collects.
You could start with Te Whatu Ora first, they have a tool here

Otherwise reach out to the Ministry of Health;

Dear Ministry of Health,

The 2022 annual report for the MoH here has mortality and lots of other stats but only up to the year 2019 https://www.health.govt.nz/system/files/... for example on page 176 is "Decrease age-standardised disability-adjusted life years (DALYs) per 1,000 people."

Can yous supply this for 2020-2023 like you have in previous years in your annual report? I haven't received the requested information yet. The link to a page on Stats NZ which you gave me does not have this info either. Unfortunately I am not familiar with your data dictionary so am not sure how to run these reports from Stats NZ. This infomation used to be on the Ministry of Health annual report, but data for 2020,2021, 2022 and 2023 is not there in the 2022 report.

Yours sincerely,

Erika Whittome
