PSPA Update and Pay Recommendation 
 
1.1 Background 
1.  At our meeting on 16 February 2023 the Board requested further written legal advice to 
support the decision on pay that the Board has made. 
2.  We received that advice and our paper providing it, along with the next steps in the pay 
process was made available to the Board on BoardPro. The advice supports the decision 
made and was therefore provided for noting. 
3.  This paper did not alter the decision that had been made, but we asked that all Members 
confirmed by return email that they have read and noted the content of the papers.   
 
1.2 Recommendations to the REA Board 
 
Recommendations 
It was recommended that the Board: 
a.  Note the legal advice on the PSPA and PSC Pay Guidance and REA proposed 
pay adjustment for 2023  
b.  Note that this paper and attachment are legally privileged and confidential 
c.  Note the next steps to be taken.  
 
Outcome: Noted with no additional comments received.
