5G rollout

Wendy Pond made this Official Information request to Thames-Coromandel District Council

Response to this request is long overdue. By law Thames-Coromandel District Council should have responded by now (details and exceptions). The requester can complain to the Ombudsman.

From: Wendy Pond

Dear Thames-Coromandel District Council,

In August 2019, in November 2022, and in May 2023 residents of Coromandel town took part in action to stop 5G cell towers being built in the town. Neither Council nor the tele-corporations held meetings to inform residents of plans, hear residents views, and obtain a social licence for the project. This should not happen again. Please provide all information you have on 5G-capable utilities intended or being considered for Coromandel town and northwards.

NOTE: Please do not answer as part of another OIA request. .

Yours faithfully,

Wendy Pond
