National Security Check processing time

Mr. Wong made this Official Information request to New Zealand Security Intelligence Service

The request was refused by New Zealand Security Intelligence Service.

From: Mr. Wong

Dear New Zealand Security Intelligence Service,

I'm writing to request information on the current processing/ response time for National Security Checks (NSCs) for residence application.

It has been previously mentioned that there have been talks between INZ and NZSIS to priorities requests that have been waiting for more than nine months.

Could you please provide some information on the average processing time frame for the NSC requests that were submitted from October 2022?

I look forward to hearing from you.

Yours faithfully,

Mr. Wong
