Thank you for your email of 2 October 2023 to the Ministry of Education
(the Ministry) requesting the following information:

 

o I would like a breakdown of the funding provided to staff employed
within policy roles for tertiary papers in the nature of that for
degrees, masters degrees, or professional legal studies (profs),
broken down by type of study, and amounts by year for the financial
years 2020/21, 2021/22, 2022/23 and for the current financial year up
to 1 September 2023.

(the Act).

 

The Ministry does not hold the information you request in a way that would
enable us to provide the level of detail you are seeking.

 

We are therefore seeking refinement of your request.

 

We note that we would be able to provide the amount paid as study
assistance to staff in policy roles towards academic studies for the
financial years 2020/21, 2021/22, 2022/23 and for the current financial
year up to 1 September 2023.

 

Please let us know if you are happy to accept this refinement of your
request.

 

I look forward to hearing from you, and would appreciate your response by
18 October 2023. Once we have your clarification, we will commence work on
your request.

 

Please note that in line with Section 15 (1AA) of the Act, if a request is
