Beneficiaries that pay more than 66% of their income in rent.
Brendon Mills made this Official Information request to Ministry of Social Development
Ministry of Social Development did not have the information requested.
From: Brendon Mills
Dear Ministry of Social Development,
I would like to know how many benefit recipients, that are not in paid work and receiving the Supported Living Payment, Sole Parent Support, or the Job-seekers Allowance, currently have total weekly benefit payments (core benefit, plus allowances and Accommodation supplement) have rent costs that are 66% of those payments.
In other words, how many of those on benefits (and not in paid work) pay more than 2 thirds of their income in rent.
Yours faithfully,
Brendon Mills
