Dear Lynley Scott,

Thank you for responding so quickly with the information I sought

As supplementary question on the 'tree'. I do not fully appreciate the circumstance that created the situation, so correct me if I am wrong, but I understand that the tree caused shade over one private property and this is why the tree is going.

Was the property owner asked to contribute to the cost?

Yours sincerely,

James Russell

As per Councils tree policy Council only removes trees if they are a risk to life or property. This tree overhangs the neighbour's property and does present such a risk. As the manager of the land the tree is located on it is Council's responsibility and liability.
