Request for draft text of TPPA agreement before it is signed

David made this Official Information request to Minister of Trade

The request was refused by Minister of Trade.

From: David

Dear Minister of Trade,

Why can other countries see the TPPA documents before they are approved and why do they have the rite challenge theses document and refuse them while we the New Zealand public cannot?.

We the people of New Zealand believe we have the rite to lawfully see any draft agreement prior to it being considered for approval.

The public of New Zealand wants to see the draft of the TPPA documents before any decisions on moving forward with this Bill are considered, we are all extremely concerned about our rite to the freedom and integrity of the internet that was never meant to restricted for the gains of corporations and governments. It is a gift to the citizens of the world and as such should be left alone by big business and Governments alike, our intellectual property is at stake our rites to freedom of access to information at at stake and as a people as a nation as a global population we are demanding we allowed our concerns to be heard and to be acted upon.

Governments are elected to represent the people of the Nation, they are not elected to serve their own interests or those of Corporations!.

Yours faithfully, Mr David Strickland

Dear T Groser (MIN),
I have received your standard response and i take offence at the off hand manner in which you as a Minister of the New Zealand Parliment seem to be responding to the genuine concerns of the New Zeland public, need I remind you who the people were that put you into Govenment.

Every citizen has opinons as you have stated, but this is not an individual opinion as it is shared by a vastly growing number of concerned New Zealand citizens and as such should be treated with the serious consideration and proper direct response it deserves for all that contact your office.

My questions have not been answered and as a lawful Citizen of New Zealand I expect my Governments Ministers to act accordingly and provide me with the lawful information I have requested.

Yours sincerely,

David
