john luke made this Official Information request to Ministry of Justice

The request was successful.

From: john luke

Dear Ministry of Justice,

can you please provide me with the total number of JP in New Zealand on 1st Jan 2023. how many new JP you have appointed and how many JP has retired between 1st Jan 2022 to 1st Jan 2023. If possible, it will be great if you could separate the data by different electorate. In Auckland region, are there any electorate currently going through the JP appointment process at the moment, if so, please let me know which electorate and how many candidates are currently going through the process.

Yours faithfully,

john luke
