Statistics regarding data collected by the GCSB

B M made this Official Information request to Government Communications Security Bureau

The request was partially successful.

From: B M

Dear Government Communications Security Bureau,

It has been reported that the National Security Agency uses a program called BOUNDLESS INFORMANT to statistically and graphically record the volume and location of metadata that is collected or analysed in some way by the Agency.

As a result of this disclosure, I would like to request the following information from the GCSB:

- Does the GCSB record in any way the volume of metadata or communications content that is collected and/or analysed in any way by the Bureau or other Government agency?
- Does the GCSB record in any way the location of origin or destination of this same metadata or communications content?

===

- If the GCSB does retain such records of surveillance, can you please provide the documentation detailing, at the least, the volume of metadata or content that is collected or analysed in any way.
- Any additional information, for example a visual representation of the statistics, regarding the processing or collection of metadata or content would be appreciated.

Yours faithfully,

[B M]
