BR made this Official Information request to University of Otago
The request was successful.
From: BR
Dear University of Otago,
I am requesting the Grade cut-off for students who received the University of Otago Scholarships, Prestige and Named Prestige Scholarships in 2021 for Law. I believe this is colloquially called the "University of Otago Scholarship in Law". I'd also like to know if the cut-off varies each year or if there is a precise cut-off that is always used. Let me know if you need any further clarification.
Yours faithfully,
BR.

Kia ora Kelsey,
Can I request further additional information of whether the 7.5 GPA required for the University of Otago Scholarships in Law in 2022 is cumulative GPA or GPA for just for 2022? For instance to be eligible for a 2022 University of Otago Scholarships in Law must your cumulative 300-level GPA be across all years at University or just 2022? I hope that makes sense.
Yours sincerely,
BR

Thank you for your follow up email requesting additional information in relation to the University of Otago Scholarship in Law.
The 7.5 GPA requirement in order to be eligible for a University of Otago Scholarship in Law is based on the GPA in the calendar year of the award - i.e. to be eligible for a 2022 University of Otago Scholarship in Law, the GPA in 2022 must be 7.5. However, it is worth clarifying that given many Law students are studying towards a double degree, the Faculty counts 300 and 400 level papers together in the year of award. While the University of Otago Scholarship in Law is usually awarded in the third year of the degree, it can be awarded in the fourth year of the degree.
I trust that this information will be helpful.

Dear Kelsey
Many thanks for your response. Could I also ask how many LLB points one needs to accumulate to be eligible for a University of Otago Scholarship in Law? If single semester law papers at 300 and 400 level are worth 15 points each - how many law papers must be completed to be eligible for a University of Otago Scholarship in Law?
Yours sincerely,
