This is a request for information under the Official Information Act 1982.

Please supply all briefings, cabinet papers or any other information held by your office relating to the subject of purported survey standard LINZS10000 for the period from September 2017.

Please supply all information held by your office relating to the subject of the use of purported survey standards that were contrary to the Cadastral Survey Act 2002, including (but not limited to) LINZS10000 and LINZS10004.

Please supply all information held by your office relating to widespread failures to adhere to the requirements of the Land Transfer Acts and Cadastral Survey Act 2002 with the registration of land under the Māori Freehold Land Registration Project.

You have just a reply to by email (18 February 2022).

I ask that this reply is posted to this website so it is publicly available.

You assert that the documents supplied do not breach the Privacy Act 2020. This is patently untrue. You also assert that all the information supplied was in scope. This is also clearly not true.

Your actions set a serious precedent. You are threatening anybody who uses fyi.org.nz with the publication of private information presumably with the intent to discourage applications for information.

I expect that documents within scope of the original request are made publicly available. I also expect that you do not deliberately and wantonly breach the Privacy Act 2020 when making the information available.
