In response to your request under the Official Information Act partially transferred from the 
Ministry of Health, please find our response below: 
 
 
Request 
 
The percentage of patients that have been declined referrals from multiple internal 
and external requests for gastro-intestinal department (multiple being more than 3 
separate GP/Doctor referrals). 
 
Timeframe is from 1 January 2010 to 1 November 2021. 
 
Between January 2010 and 1 November 2021, 1.63% of referrals to Gastroenterology services 
had been declined more than 3 times.
