Kia ora Alan,

Thank you for your OIA request on 6 August 2021. You asked:

“Can you please provide details of the number of OIA requests you have
received relating to;

- the covid-19 pandemic
- PCR tests
- Covid19 virus isolation
- the covid 19 vaccine
- the efficacy of lock-downs
- the efficacy of masks

In addition, can you please provide information on the;
- average response times
- longest response times
- requests refused and the reason for the refusal
- complaints to the ombudsman following these requests.”

Can you please clarify what timeframe that you are interested in for this
information. Are you happy to refine this to dates between 1 January 2021
to the date of your request?

As it currently stands, the Ministry would be using individual search
terms that you’ve listed such as “COVID-19 Pandemic” or “PCR tests”. Are
you able to provide the Ministry of Health with more specific information
that you’re interested in for each point that you’ve listed? Eg. What
efficacy lock-down you are referring to? What Mask efficacy you are
referring to? What COVID-19 vaccination you are referring to? Further
clarification around each point will ensure that information is more
closely aligned to what you are interested in can be managed and a
decision can be made to you as soon as possible.

We look forward to receiving your response.
