INZ Business Category Visas

Adam Irish made this Official Information request to Ministry of Business, Innovation & Employment

The request was successful.

From: Adam Irish

Dear Ministry of Business, Innovation & Employment,

I request under the Official Information Act the following information:

When will the next review of the immigration categories will take place:

-Essential Skills Work Visas
-Entrepreneur Work Visa
-Entrepreneur Residence Visa (including Plus)
-Investor 2 Residence Visa
-Investor Plus Residence Visa
-Employees of a Relocating Business Residence
-Global Impact Visa (Work and Residence)

Additional, will there be consideration on the use of settlement funds to be used towards purchasing a new build home, rather than allowing them to complete with kiwis for preexisting homes. Will the Global Impact Visa hold applicants accountable like all other categories in terms of needing to meet what they promise for business delivery and benefits, to gain residency, and will there be a requirement for them to generate at least a sustainable level of income, at least the NZ minimum wage.

Lastly when will INZ require investment funds and the acceptable investments to be held directly by the principal applicant (rather than through trusts or companies, domestic or foreign) so that those investments will be subject to personal New Zealand taxation. As it is them as that is a private person that is apply.

Yours faithfully,

Adam Irish
