May I have the information in relation to Skilled Migrant Category Residence (SMC) Visa Application please?
Q1: What is the oldest date of the lodged application awaiting allocation of Case Officer (CO) within the non-priority queue as of your responding day?
Q2: May I have your advice about the total number of onshore SMC Residence Visa Application in the non-priority queue awaiting allocation of CO as of your responding day?
Q3: Based upon the feedback on the second question, the total number being provided by you, in which, how many of them were lodged before 11 June 2019? Would appreciate if the figure could be provided in a weely lodgement manner.
Q4: How many applications from the priority queue and the non-priority queue were allocated for CO in September, October, November, December 2020, and as of your responding day respectively? It notes allocating CO occurs weekly. Would appreciate if the information could be provided in a weekly manner.

On behalf of the Ministry of Business, Innovation and Employment I

“May I have the information in relation to Skilled Migrant Category
Residence (SMC) Visa Application please?

Please note that the days from 24 December 2020 to 17 January 2021
(inclusive) are defined as non- working days in the Act and are not
counted in the calculation for the response due date. This will affect the
time period for responding to your request.
Your request is being processed in accordance with the Act and a response
will be sent to you in due course.
Please note, due to ongoing COVID-19 response work, requests are currently
being triaged and those relating to Covid-19 processed as a priority.
Remaining requests are being assessed as per the Ombudsman’s guidance
(which can be found here:

and processed accordingly.
