• a person who is in New Zealand; or

• a body corporate which is incorporated in New Zealand; or

• a body corporate which is incorporated outside New Zealand but which has
a place of business in New Zealand.

MBIE requires more information to establish your compliance with section
12. An original of any one of the following items is acceptable as a
demonstration of your eligibility:

• A recent bill from the company who supplies your power, gas, water,
phone or internet services

• Council rates notice

• A letter from the Electoral Office

• Travel itinerary

• Anything from a government agency that includes your name and address

request and begin to consider it under the Act. If you do not meet the
eligibility criteria of section 12, MBIE will still consider your request.
Please respond by 19 November 2020. If do not respond by 19 November 2020
your request will deemed to be withdrawn.

Dear Margaret Huang,

Please advise how do I do that, as I don't know your email to send such a document listed above.

I am not comfortable attaching any of such documents here for my privacy reason.

you can reach out to me on my email and I shall give you the proof of living in New Zealand, and I am pretty sure MBIE has my details in the record as this is not my first OIA request. So should be fairly easy to contact me.

Yours sincerely,

Satish

Dear Margaret Huang,

Thanks for helping me with this, I have a question the letter says as of 02 Dec 2020 there is X number of applications remaining pending allocation and today it's 22nd Dec (So I believe Immigration NZ has provided this data on 2nd Dec Itself). Could you please help me undertsand what is the process in between publishing this letter after receiving data/details from INZ because 20 days to publish this letter is a lot and by the time you respond (in 20 days) information is not up to date?

Yours sincerely,

Satish

Dear Satish,

Apologies for the lag time.

All OIA responses are reviewed by multiple people or departments before they are sent to the requester. This sign out process means that there will be a lag time between the date the data was obtained and the time we are able to send a requester an OIA response.

There are currently many people in Immigration New Zealand who are involved in this sign out process taking leave.

You may be interested to know that eight people/departments reviewed the response provided to your OIA request.
