Dear Ministry of Business, Innovation & Employment,

I am writing to request the number of applications that are currently held in the non-priority queue under the SMC, with the lodgement dates from 04/03/2019-05/07/2019 Onshore only.

Could also give me the breakup of non priority SMC lodgement month wise from March 2019 to December 2019.

Also, whats is the number of applications that INZ is allocating each month ( August, September, October ) to a CASE OFFICER for the onshore nonpriority applicant only.

Yours faithfully,

Ritz89

Dear Ritz89

Eligibility evidence

In order that I can confirm your eligibility  to make a request under the
Official Information Act 1982 (OIA, see section 12), please provide
evidence that you fall into one  of the following categories:

(a) a New Zealand citizen; or

(b) a permanent resident of New Zealand; or

(c) a person who is in New Zealand;

Please provide this information by 1 October 2020. If you do not wish to
provide this evidence via the FYI website, you can email it to me directly
by entering my name into the following email format:
firstname[DOT]lastname@mbie[DOT]govt[DOT]nz

Clarification of request

In addition, I am writing to clarify your request. Please note that
Immigration New Zealand does not have a specific Skilled Migrant Category
(SMC) queue but rather one for skilled residence applications, which
includes SMC and Resident from Work (RFW) applications.

In relation to the first point of your request, can you confirm that your
request will be satisfied if we provide: The number of onshore
applications that are currently held in the non-priority skilled residence
queue, that were accepted between 04/03/2019 and 05/07/2019 (inclusive of
those dates).

In relation to the second point of your request, can you confirm that you
would be satisfied if we provide: The number of non-priority skilled
residence applications accepted by INZ in March 2019 - December 2019,
broken down by calendar month? E.g. the number accepted in March 2019, the
number accepted in April 2019 and so on.

In relation to the third point of your request, please clarify the
timeframe of months you are looking for? You have listed August,
September, October, however assuming you mean 2020, we will not have
allocation data for October yet as it is still September. Please confirm
is this question also in relation to skilled residence applications
(onshore non-priority)?

Please note that any clarification or amendment of an OIA request is
considered to be a new request for the purpose of calculating the maximum
statutory timeframe for response in line with section 15(1AA) of the OIA.

If you have any questions you can contact me.

Kind regards
