Request for an excel searchable spreadsheet containing all snowmed diagnostic codes that ACC are currently using to convert ACC Read Codes supplied by ACC approved Treatment providers.
David Lawson made this Official Information request to Accident Compensation Corporation
The request was partially successful.
From: David Lawson
Dear Accident Compensation Corporation,
ACC has taken the lead role in overseeing the implementation of snomed diagnostic codes and ACC's website states that ACC staff are transitioning new injury diagnosis codes under the ACC Read Codes to Snomed diagnostic codes on a claimants claim files.
I respectfully request in line with the Official Information Act 1982, the provision of an excel searchable spreadsheet containing all snowmed diagnostic codes.
In the event that ACC are using a system not supported by excel to search for snomed codes within ACC, please supply a copy of the exact working searchable spreadsheet that ACC uses containing all snowmed diagnostic codes.
Under s16(2) of the Official Information Act, my preferred way of receiving a response is by email to the address from which ACC received the original request, not by post.
I thank you for your time and assistance.
Yours faithfully,
David Lawson

"We will then make a decision based on the available medical information, rather than on what SNOMED CT has been selected."
Is the decision ACC then makes inclusive or exclusive of SNOMED CT - which is a relevant part of ALL the available information provided by treatment provider(s)?
