Search warrants RNZSPCA

Grace Haden made this Official Information request to Ministry for Primary Industries

Ministry for Primary Industries did not have the information requested.

From: Grace Haden

Dear Ministry for Primary Industries,

I have just discovered documents released to me in 2012 for the international League of horses .

in a letter from MAF to the league they ask "whether the ILPH is prepared to enter into a memorandum of understanding with MAF on
animal welfare issues. For example, this would include processes that the ILPH would
follow if an inspector wished to apply for a search warrant."

by way of oia please provide the process by which the RNZSPCA inspectors need to follow for a search warrant, what they can seize and the accountability for their actions if they are not employed by the RNZSPCA but are employed by a member society .

Please also provide a copy of the prosecution guide lines which apply to prosecutions by Inspectors

Yours faithfully,

Grace Haden
