File Notes
C Lane made this Official Information request to Department of Corrections
The request was successful.
From: C Lane
Dear Department of Corrections,
How dose an inmate over turn bad file notes, such as false allegations, or such impossible incidents? Including,
- Bad file notes by staff members that have been found guilty of miss treatment of inmates?
- Staff that have been fired after making such file notes?
- Incidents that aren’t classified as been “wrong” under law, or P.O.M? Such as, scrubbing cell floors, not saying goodnight to staff when they have said goodnight, masturbation.
- Incidents which aren’t humanly possible? E.g if another inmate was involved in a situation/incident which you weren’t a part of, but you had been classed as an associate of that inmate, can you be bad file noted along with that inmate?
- Why are female staff able to see/watch male inmates showering, and able to file note when the inmates make a stand toward this? Female staff shouldn’t be working in these environments let alone seeing inmates naked, this is hugely disrespectful culturally.
Yours faithfully,
Moka Harris
