Details of the new Parents Category Residence Visa

Response to this request is long overdue. By law Iain Lees-Galloway should have responded by now (details and exceptions). The requester can complain to the Ombudsman.

Dear Iain Lees-Galloway,

Following your decision regarding the future of the Parent Category Visa that you announced on 7th October 2019, you committed to provide further details of the new scheme in November 2019. After no publications made available in November the INZ website was updated to say that details will be announced in December 2019. December lapsed and now all the ministries are back to work and there are still no details available.

Considering that the past 2 years were full of unfulfilled promises regarding this category I believe that I am not the only citizen concerned that this is just another attempt to deliberately delay any decisions and drag this issue until the elections.

Recognizing that 2020 is the last year of delivery for this government, could you please commit to clear timelines regarding the Parents Category Visa?
