Dear Katjoesja
Official information request for communications regarding Hong Kong-related activity
I refer to your official information request dated 8 August 2019:
“I am requesting a copy of all internal communications relating to Hong Kong, and displays on campus pertaining to Hong Kong that took place from 8 July to 8 August 2019.”
Your current request is very broad. The lack of clarity will make it difficult for the University to meet the request as currently framed. If you could be more specific about the emails you are looking for, i.e. emails to all University staff from senior management related to Hong Kong, and displays on campus pertaining to Hong Kong that took place from 8 July to 8 August 2019, we may be able to respond to your request. Please direct this correspondence to [VUW request email].
Please note, any clarification or amendment of a request is considered to be a new request for the purpose of calculating the maximum statutory timeframe for response—see section 15(1AA) of the Official Information Act 1982.
