We appreciate your desire to ensure that the information we exchange is
publicly available. However, as it stands, the Ministry is unable to
respond to your request until we have clarified the information you would

While a Benefits Review Committee has three members, these members are
called from a broader pool of Ministry representatives and a broader pool
of community representatives. We would like to discuss the structure of
the Benefits Review Committee with you, and clarify which member/s’
information you wish to receive.

There are currently seven community representatives and sixty-three Ministry of Social Development representatives in the pool of Benefits Review Committee representatives for the Auckland region.

As you mentioned, the committee is made up of two representatives from the Ministry and a community representative.
