Regulatory Impact Statement on Proposed amendments to the Climate Change Response Act 2002
Alex Harris made this Official Information Act request to Ministry for the Environment
The request was successful.
From: Alex Harris
30 April 2012
Dear Ministry for the Environment,
On April 11 2012, the Ministry published a Regulatory Impact
Statement for "ETS Review 2011: Proposed amendments to the Climate
Change Response Act 2002 – Part 1". This was a proactive
disclosure, and parts of the RIS were withheld. I would therefore
like to request the following information under the Official
Information Act 1982:
* an _unredacted_ copy of the RIS for "ETS Review 2011: Proposed
amendments to the Climate Change Response
Act 2002 – Part 1".
Obviously, s18(d) does not apply, as the publicly available copy is
redacted.
If the Ministry wishes to continue to withhold information from the
RIS, then I ask that it complies with good OIA practice and
identifies the specific withholding grounds for each redaction so
that it may be challenged if necessary.
I would prefer to receive an electronic response. Queries about
this request will be automatically forwarded to me by the
fyi.org.nz website.
Yours faithfully,
Alex Harris

Please be aware that the information to which your request relates is more
closely connected with decisions taken or to matters under consideration
by a Minister or Cabinet and has therefore been transferred to Hon Tim
