Dear Rodney,
I acknowledge receipt of your response to my notification regarding the
testamentary bequest from my late client, Robert Parsons
I am writing to provide you with further information about this bequest.
My late client established an offshore Trust in London, United Kingdom,
with the intention of providing for individuals he considered close
friends or relatives without involving his immediate family. I have been
engaged to oversee the administration of this Trust, which was established
in the United Kingdom due to its satisfactory confidentiality provisions.
As you may be aware, trusts are revocable during the lifetime of their
creators, allowing for amendments or revocation at any time prior to the
creator's passing. Upon the creator's death, trusts become irrevocable and
require administration. Following the unfortunate passing of my late
client, the Trust became irrevocable, and my role as trustee became
active, prompting me to contact you. I have also reached out to other
named beneficiaries, one of whom has already received payment, and another
is scheduled to be paid in the coming days. Your bequest will follow
accordingly.
Please take careful note of the following instructions as stipulated by my
late client in his Trust Deed:
1. Utmost Confidentiality: You are required to maintain strict
confidentiality regarding the Trust. This includes refraining from sharing
any information about the Trust with third parties, including members of
the immediate family. This stipulation aims to prevent undue attention and
potential legal contests by his immediate family, allowing the expression
of his wishes to chosen individuals without interference.
2. Bequest Amount : The total amount bequeathed to you under the Trust is
£1,000,000.00 (One Million British Pounds Sterling). My late client also
stipulated that upon receiving this amount, you are to make a donation of
£100,000.00 (One Hundred Thousand British Pounds Sterling) to a
not-for-profit organization of your choice. You are required to provide
proof of compliance with this stipulation to me, the trustee. The
remaining balance of £900,000.00 is yours to utilize as you see fit.
To commence the proceedings for your claim and subsequent payment, I must
submit an application for the approval of your payment at the probate
registry. Your authorization is required to proceed with this course of
action.
I look forward to receiving your response at your earliest convenience.
Best regards,
John F. Henry, LL.B (Hons), TEP
