Hi Luke,
Bus drivers, like all road users, are required by law to share the road. Training is provided for bus drivers about
sharing the road with cyclists and this training involves the bus drivers getting on a bike and seeing the road from
the perspective of the cyclist.
This incident will be raised with the bus company.
If anyone has an issue with a bus driver, the appropriate thing to do is to contact Auckland Transport
https://at.govt.nz/about‐us/contact‐us/ so we can take the matter further.

Morning Darryl,
Just wondering if we can get a comment from you on the following video:
https://twitter.com/AlecTang_/status/1095763202040770560
Looks to show a bus driver putting a cyclist in quite a dangerous situation.
NZTA advice suggests 1.5m between you and a cyclist -
https://www.nzta.govt.nz/resources/roadcode/about-other-road-users/sharing-road-with-cyclists/
Can you please take a look and let us know if any further action will be taken on this?
Thanks
1
Luke
