Dear Michael

Local Government Official Information and Meetings Act 1987
Re: Operation on dog ‘Spike Rogers’

I refer to your email, which we received on 26 September 2016 requesting information about
the operation on dog ‘Spike Rogers’

A majority of the information you have requested  is not Councils information or stored with
Council but is the private vets’  information to release. The information that Council  can
provide to the registered dog owner is:

•  Paperwork around Animal Management collecting dog
•  Impound notice

As you are not the registered dog owner, this information has been withheld under Section
7(2)(a) protect the privacy of natural persons.

Should you believe Auckland Council has not responded appropriately to your  request,  you
have  the right  by  way  of  complaint,  under  section  27(3)  of  the  LGOIMA,  to  apply  to  the
Ombudsmen to seek an investigation and review of the decision.

If you have any further queries please contact me on 09 301 0101  quoting Official
Information Request No. 8140000492

Yours sincerely
