Official Information Act request for feedback from the reformed school reports 
 
Please consider this letter acknowledgement of your Official Information Act request for: 
 
the report, briefing, aide-memoire, or other advice provided to the Minister of Education in 
January 2026 that: 
 
summarised the feedback from the pilot of the reformed school reports (including feedback 
from participating schools, parents, and other stakeholders where applicable); and/or set out 
the proposed final reformed school reporting model following the pilot. 
 
This request refers to the advice foreshadowed in ERO briefing M25-97 Reforming ERO's School 
Reports (3 December 2025), which states: 
 
"In January, we will report to you on the feedback and proposed final Reformed Schools' 
Reports." 
 
If more than one document was provided to the Minister for this purpose, I request all final 
versions. 
 
We received your request on 13 July 2026. 
 
We will endeavour to respond as soon as possible, and in any event no later than 10 August 2026, 
being 20 working days after the day your request was received. If we are unable to respond to your 
request by then, we will notify you of an extension of that timeframe. 
 
Please note that it is our policy to proactively release our responses to official information requests 
where possible. We do not publish requesters' personal information.
