Response
A procurement exercise is currently underway to establish a panel of approved AI scribe solutions
via a Request for Proposals (RFP). As part of this process all panellists wil need to successfully
complete a privacy assessment, regardless of whether they are new or existing vendors.
1. Any subsequent versions of the Heidi Health PIA, whether in the form of a newly signed
PIA or modifications/amendments to the existing PIA
At this point there is no subsequent versions of the Heidi privacy impact statement. Therefore, part
1 of your request is refused under section 18(e) of the OIA as the document requested does not
exist or, despite reasonable efforts to locate it, cannot be found.
2. Any supporting documents regarding the review and/or renewal of the PIA, such as
briefings, memos, discussion documents, meeting minutes and so on.
3. Any correspondence between Health New Zealand and Heidi Health, specifically
regarding the review and/or renewal of the PIA
Any documents related to the completion of the privacy assessment, including briefings, memos,
discussion documents, meeting minutes etc, as well as any communications with Heidi Health are
commercially sensitive as the RFP is stil underway.
Therefore, parts 2 and 3 of your request are withheld under the following sections of the OIA:
• 9(2)(b)(ii), to protect information where its release would be likely
unreasonably to prejudice the commercial position of the person who supplied or who is
subject of the information; and
• 9(2)(j), to enable Health NZ to carry on negotiations without prejudice or disadvantage,
negotiations (including commercial and industrial negotiations).
Where we have withheld information under section 9(2) of the OIA, we have considered any
countervailing public interests in the release of this information. We do not believe that the public
interests outweigh the need to withhold in this instance.
