Your request for official information, reference: HNZ00204396
Thank you for your email on 4 June 2026, asking Health New Zealand | Te Whatu Ora (Health NZ)
for the following under the Official Information Act 1982 (the OIA):
“Please provide the current policy set for Hauora a Toi Mental Health and Addiction
services.”
Response
Health NZ is committed to transparency and making information about its services, policies, and
decision-making publicly available where appropriate. The Bay of Plenty (Hauora a Toi) Mental
Health and Addiction Policy Set forms part of the framework that guides service delivery, clinical
practice, and operational processes within the district.
Health NZ publishes a range of national mental health and addiction guidance and information
online, although district-level policy sets are not always available in a single consolidated public
location.
Information on the Hauora a Toi Mental Health and Addiction Policy Set is, however, publicly
available here on the Convergence Aotearoa website: https://cpsle.org/hauora-a-toi-mental-health-
policies/.
