Apple’s government affairs lead for New Zealand,
Australia and Asia Pacific has asked to request a meeting. As well as the Government’s work on
online harm for youth, I am sure Josh would be more than happy to discuss Apple’s other work in New
Zealand, including in education.
9(2)(a) is in New Zealand March 30 to April 1 for a range of meetings, but in the event that is not
convenient, he frequently visits New Zealand for specific meetings with Ministers and officials.

would be very keen to meet to discuss the Government's work on age restrictions for social media,
and specifically what Apple has seen around the world from the social media companies in relation
to similar moves.
Unfortunately due to 9(2)(a) responsibilities it does not appear as though he will be in New Zealand
this side of Christmas, so perhaps we could arrange an online meeting?
I'm always available for coffee if it is of any use.

, Apple's acting head of Asia Pacific and Erica Stanford's office. He would
obviously be delighted to meet with the minister, but would also be fine talking to her officials, hence

would be keen to discuss the Government's early thinking on age verification for social media
restrictions, given the ongoing work programme. This would in particular focus on efforts that have
been made in other countries to suggest this should be managed by the App Store, and Apple's
response to this.

arranged.
