The Wellington Pavilion (Band Rotunda) project remains active.

Wellington Pavilion update:
All resource consents have been obtained. Building consents for the main structural works
have also been obtained. Pre-construction works are complete, and all seismic MEETINGS 
strengthening works are now complete, ahead of schedule.
AND 
We have changed operators from an Auckland-based operator to a Wellington-based
operator. This is a stronger local fit for the project and the waterfront location. The new
operator is now redesigning the internal hospitality layout with a Melbourne-based design
studio. We are waiting on those revised drawings before recommencing the upper-level
works at pace.
The downstairs basement spa works have commenced and are progressing separately.
INFORMATION 
Ground-level windows are due to arrive at the end of the month and will be installed upon
arrival.
The original opening target included in our proposal was December 2027. We are currently
OFFICIAL 
tracking toward opening in February 2027, which remains materially ahead of the original
proposal programme.
We had previously been targeting October 2026. That date has moved to February 2027
due to the operator change and associated redesign. This is a controlled design sequencing
matter, not a delay against the original proposal timeframe.
GOVERNMENT 
We appreciate the site may appear quieter from the outside at present. The project is still
progressing, and visible activity will increase once the revised drawings are issued and the
LOCAL 
next construction phase recommences.
THE 
Elected officials are welcome to visit the site and see the progress, hear of the challenges
we have overcome in strengthening the works, and enjoy the now waterproof roof top. 
UNDER 
For your further information, I am presenting the project to the Oriental Bay Residents
Association on the evening of 26 May. I am not sure of the protocol around invitations, but
relevant Elected Members may wish to attend. The presentation has been advertised in the
OBRA newsletter.

Our Watson Group website is being rebuilt, it had a number broken links, so we took it
offline while designing and developing a new one. That being said, happy to put the old
one back up if the elected officials would like :)
